HOCHTIEF leads the way in the energy sector worldwide, whether constructing conventional, nuclear or geothermal power stations, or facilities to recover energy from waste.

HOCHTIEF’s strength lies in a company with global technical excellence combined with the local knowledge of individual operating divisions. In the UK these skills have been applied to CCGT power stations at Seabank near Bristol and Rye House, Hertfordshire – with the largest air-cooled condenser in Europe, and modern energy-from-waste projects at Allington in Kent and Newhaven in East Sussex.

Our energy projects are always tailored to the individual customer. We combine our know-how with the competencies of our international business unit (HOCHTIEF Energy Europe) , the expertise of our in-house design specialists (HOCHTIEF Consult) and construction materials experts. We are always conscious of the ethical and environmental impact energy generation projects may have, which is why we are committed to sustainable solutions and clean methods of producing energy, with carbon capture high on the agenda.

Through this approach, we provide support during all project phases, from design and planning through to execution and beyond.
